These are rings of rough stones that encircle
a powerful stone in the center, with red
runes on it. You can hear about these stones
by reading things written by Quill-Weave
and by attending lectures at the Arcane
University.
There are two types of Doomstones: "Birthsign"
and "Heaven" stones.
When any one of these stones are activated
between 6pm and 6am, it gives you a new
power but strips you of any powers you may
have obtained from other Birthsign stones.
(they never strip you of your birthsign
powers assigned at character creation)

In order to use these, you have to have
a certain level of combined Fame and Infamy
to activate them. The powers these stones
give you stack with the powers of other
stones. (These stones will not strip you
of previous powers gained from other stones)
